Clubs

Want to get involved in debate?

The NLSDU has returned to in person programming in 2023 and 2024. To find out if your school has a club, or to start one yourself, please email our Director of Programming. Whether you are part of a club, interested in joining one, or are at a school where there isn't a club but want to participate, join our mailing list to find out about debate events for everyone, tournaments, and coaching and volunteering opportunities.

Presently, various schools are beginning to restart their debate club activities along the start of the new academic year.  This section will be updated as more schools return to their regular debate activities.

Want to start a club at your school?

We are here to support you! Reach out to our Director of Programming to learn how to connect with a teacher to sponsor the club, get connected with a coach, and get your club rolling!

A debate club doesn't need much to start, just a willingness to try, some interested students, and a teacher willing to lend a hand and some space.

Check out our Resources for debate clubs under the "About Us" section of the site!
